Construction Site
Challenge
A timesheet template to capture start and finish times, allowed for lunch breaks and included loading for hours worked. Finally capture any public holidays, annual or sick leave.
This client wanted everything in a single template so that their employees could complete not only their weekly timesheet for hours but also record their leave. The loading component was important so the employees knew if they were entitled to increased rates.
How we help with Dashboards?
Solution
A single template created in Excel with all the features to capture time, leave and loading. The loading component to be configurable for different parts of the business.
The key aspects of the Timesheet Template were:
-
Weekly timesheet with a single week ending date to drive the dates on the timesheet
-
Time recorded in 12 hour format (eg 6:00 AM, 4:00 PM)
-
Calculated total hours for the day
-
Breakup of loading based on a set number of work hours in a day
-
3 levels of loading 1x, 1.5x and 2x
-
Record the Public Holidays, Annual Leave and Sick Leave.
Outcome & Benefits
The result was an easy to use single timesheet template that accurately recorded the time for all employees. The ease of use reduced errors by employees and as a result increased efficiency for the administration and processing of timesheets.
This client extended the template and we created a consolidation process that then extracted all the timesheet data and stored it into a central spreadsheet for the administration team to report and process pay slips against.
